I don’t know about you, but I’m always impressed by the builders of yesteryear. For me, there was a real quest for beauty in every sense of the word. By that, I mean that beauty was understood in the purely aesthetic sense, but also in the quality of the materials and the workmanship. It’s not unusual for buildings that were built decades or even over a century ago to stand the test of time better than more recent constructions.

It’s clear that its patron, Edmond Théry, loved the house very much. What’s more, he was a man who, from what I’ve read about him, was clearly meticulous and loved a job well done. So I have no doubt that when he chose the craftsmen to work on the construction of what was to become a stylish reception venue many years later!
